"We radio-collared one male tiger who ate bears all summer and lost weight in the winter presumably because he couldn't find his favourite food. Recently, people have been killing bears because of an increased demand for bear feet and gall bladders, and I worry that this will effect tigers as well because bears are an important food source for tigers in summer.".. Lets debunck this. First of all only a male tiger had a taste of bear-flesh, not all tigers. And he killed only 4 female bears and cubs in just once year, not all time in his life he just hunted bears. And thats not true that he lost weight due to less bears in winter. There are many bears he can kill in hibernation in winter too. Not a problem, right? So its wrong statement. Furthermore, well, the "Amurtiger centre" says that tigers are not interested in bear meat.
"But nevertheless, the brown bear is not the favorite prey of the tiger, he is very strong, agile and fast! Help the Center-".
beargorillarealm.proboards.com/post/260
So the organisation simply debuncks. And also noted that it ownself states that the decreasing bear number is due to over hunting started recently not due to tigers. Anyways, i debuncked it nicely, enjoy!!

Warsaw - carnivora.net/siberian-tiger-v-ussuri-brown-bear-t8294-s4575.html Here's the full text. The crunch of a dry branch under my foot, and an adult male Himalayan bear, just calmly feeding on fallen acorns, instantly flew up to the oak tree - tigers do not sleep. Another confirmation of this is the excrement with wool and claws of a medium-sized bear, recently left by a tigress in a forest clearing. A tigress feeds two four-month-old tiger cubs. With a wild boar - the main object of food for a predator - now it's a disaster: African swine fever has mowed down its livestock almost to zero. And this means that bears began to get "on the table" of tigers much more often. The bear remained on the tree until a gust of wind brought my scent to it: realizing a mistake, the beast fell to the ground with a huge ball and fled. Mistakes like this often cost Himalayans their lives. A hunter could have been in my place. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ *Note: Original source unknown; but I have complete trust in Warsaw.

"From animal trainer, Alfred Court - My life with the Big Cats
Tigers attack some Polar bears. One of the bears was a lacerated carcass and the other Polar bear - MAD WITH FEAR - fled to the back of the cage!".
In general polar bears rarely grow large in captivity and are sick and weakened. Also Alfred Court polar bears weren't that huge.

Yes thats true. First of all, as mentioned in account, Tiger "s" attacked a polar bear "one" of them meaning a single weakly polar bear was attacked that one tiger. If that was weight party or length party so that does not bother the bear since bears can defeat big cats even at weight party; the real ptoblem is that the polar bears are very weak and are in a poor condition in captivity. See this video in which it is shown that polar bears need a lot of care compared to other animals in zoos and i doubt those old time circuses provided such facilities to polar bears.
Anyways, according to famous circus trainer Al.Garner, tigers and lions are no match for polar bears. Not a difficulty to see a winner.

Now lets debunck this:-"In Heilongjiang tigers depressed brown bear numbers." "After the arrival of the Siberian tiger, the number of bears has really changed a lot. After the first Siberian tiger came to our reserve, after several years of monitoring, it was found that the number of brown bears and black bears was gradually decreasing." translate.google.com/translate?s...155_1.htmlFirst of all its based on a video, not on a chart examination. Secondly, tigers have actually nothing to do with brown bear depopulation in Heilongjiang, the main reasons are hunting pressures and environmental changes caused by human activity.

2020 ARTICLE
"The main threat to this species is habitat loss due to the expansion of increasing human populations leading to activ- ities such as commercial logging, farming, roadways, and dam construction, as well as the use of various natural resources by communities bordering Asiatic black bear habitats. Commer- cial poaching for trade of bear body parts (especially gall bladders and paws) is also a serious threat, especially because bear bile has been an important part of traditional medicine in Eastern Asia. Although all international trade of bear body parts including bile farming is illegal under CITES, illegal domestic and international trading of bear parts is common (Garshelis & Steinmetz 2016). Because they often raid and damage crops and timber, and also attack humans (see Chap- ters 15 and 17), considerable numbers of Asiatic black bears are killed annually. Incidental hunting (by snare and box trap originally set for ungulates), legal sports hunting (which is only legal in Japan except some Prefectures and Russia), capture/ trade of cubs for bear baiting (i.e. illegal fights with dogs), and for dancing bears (Japan Bear Network 2006) also occur (see Chapter 26). The threat of climate change to Asiatic black bears worldwide is uncertain and needs to be monitored at local and international levels."

So in the end its clear to see that the rapid decrease in population of bears in china and russia is due to human activity, not of tigers. Bear hunting and bear farming is still very popular in north east asia despite of organisations working for animal welfare. Furthermore, as shown earlier, many observations from biologists indicate that tigers do not effect activity or population of bears in north east asia. Instead, tigers fear bears!

/\ It was also two tigers who did this not one. Note it says "tigers attack polar bears". It was two tigers that attack and killed a captive polar bear. That polar bear was raise in the circus. Seen that screenshot. To be fair, captive tigers are healthier than captive polar bears. Before Animal Right Acts, captive polar bears were much more unhealthy. A wild male polar bear will beat any tiger 10/10 in my opinion.

"Tigress kills a huge brown bear in autum by kucherenko". Its very easy to debunck this. First of all its from 2005, meaning it must be an recent event. However, its true from 1992-2013, the siberian tiger project found NO ADULT MALE bear killed by tiger. If that tigress killed that bear so it must be mentioned. Right?
Furthermore, a large bear M20 hardly killed an adult female brown bear even by ambush so how can a tigress kill a male brown bear? Hahaha. Thats very impossible to think with right mind. And if tigress could kill that easily so why do not larger tigers kill male brown bears instead of female brown bears? That does not make any sense. Easy to debunck this one.

It is interesting that cubs in brown bears' broods are, on average, twice as numerous as in white-breasted bears.
It is also noted that the number of individuals of both species is gradually increasing, their dispersal.

The official figures of hunting departments do not reflect the actual production of animals. Over Over the past 10 years, the official harvest of brown bears in Primorsky Krai has not exceeded 60 heads. During the 2004 hunting season 80 licenses were allocated for this species in Primorsky Krai, and in 2005 - 100 licenses. The limit was used 74% and 69% accordingly. The actual amounts of withdrawal remain unknown. Apparently, poaching of bears exceeds legal several times over. The demand for bear paws and bile remains unlimited. The price per gram of bile between 1992 and 2005 ranged from $2.5 to $8. Bear paws were valued at 250-1100 rubles per 1 kg. Large batches of paws are regularly smuggled into the PRC. For example, in 2004 an attempt to smuggle 800 paws in the Poltava Customs Office in China was averted. an attempt to smuggle 800 paws of Himalayan and brown bears was foiled. Even brown bears pose the "greatest" threat to tigers! domainofthebears.proboards.com/post/59005/threadAfter reading all the great debuncking by @warsaw with his impressive and scientific research, i will no longef debunck any othet fantansy of tigets effecting bear population as @warsaw have completely destroyed it. This clear! And needs no more evidence.
However, other fantansies would be more debuncked with more coming information.

When a biologist has the rare opportunity to actually find and examine a tiger's kill site, he can look for footprints and signs of a struggle such as the ground torn-up and vegetation trampled, blood, and hair. However, when the tiger sees a full-grown male brown bear walking towards his kill and the tiger simply relinquishes his kill over to the bigger stronger bear, no evidence of the tiger's retreat exists for the eyes of the biologist. So, when it is stated that the tiger and the bear "shared" the kill, ( IMO ) it is the bear who dominated the carcass. Why would a tigress or an adolescent male tiger attempt to defend a carcass? I believe that the majority of the few female tigers known to have been killed by brown bears were either killed while defending her cubs from bear predation, or the tigress attempted an ambush on a female brown bear unsuccessfully. At a kill site, the tigress might feel desperate enough, having hungry cubs, to fight a bear (although I consider this unlikely). As for the adolescent male brown bear; teenagers make stupid choices. He might attempt to defend his kill.
