Ok, let me give a Fool to this video.
First of all, he tries to deteriorate Micheal's significance by referring him as a bear fantasy even though he is a well respected french mediaeval historian. He quotes Charles Haywood saying, "Micheal exaggerated some claims" actually pointed out to the cultural history of the bear, not the arena fights, and since history of cultures and religion is complex it can be a bit difficult to compile it hundred percent accurately. Anyways, it's the bear's symbolism is what Charles said, not fight events, however Charles isn't a historian though. Furthermore, Micheal is used as an authority in references, so he isn't an average writer.
Next he moves to bear and lion in representation in European culture. He says that the lion is the oldest symbol of Europe as evident by the 40,000 years old "lion man" artifact. Well, that faggot totally misses to see this study showing that the so-called lion man is a brown bear!
www.world-archaeology.com/features/the-bear-necessities/Furthermore, there is abundant evident of bear-worship in pre historic Europe but no lion worship found yet. Is there any solid proof of lion worship in Europe far prior happening to bear cult in prehistoric times when both lions and bears roamed Europe? Nah. And that pussy forgets to mention it.
What's preposterous is that he says about bears not being recognized in Europe as king of beasts. Gaulic, Teutonic, Nordic and Slavonic areas held the bear as the most powerful animal in Europe. Greeks revered bears very much in myths and Romans held them as symbols of strength.
beargorillarealm.proboards.com/thread/182/brown-bear-importance-european-culturesThen he says that bears weren't revered in Egypt and mesopotamia as we're lion. That stupid Female Dog does not know that there were no bears in Egypt and in mesopotamia there were very scarce to get throughly recognition. Despite of that, in Egypt and Iraq, bears were thought to be equivalent to lions. In later Christianity even, bears in ferocity and strength were thought to be a lion like creatures. Saint Jerome tells no animal in wild is fiercer than a mama bear.
beargorillarealm.proboards.com/thread/175/syrian-brown-importance-eastern-culturesThat faggot has no idea of bears in cultural representation. One more thing I want to clarify is that having more representation in myths does not make an animal as supreme in wild. If this ion fantasy logic gets application then 'coyotes are dominant over bears, wolves, and cougars' since they are the most prominent and enigmatic animal in indigenous californian myths. Stop saying Crap.
Then he moves and says that lions weren't beat by bears in arenas. As far as we can see, there seems no historically authentic authority of person or script telling lions dominating bear in roman fights; and we got so far only micheal as trustworthy for his modern information and professional work. Interestingly, he isn't alone. Wayne Lynch, a bear biologist says the same:
View AttachmentWhat know Crap-eaters? Enough?
Moreover, that Mother's Day later tries to prove that bull beat bears in Rome which is conspicuously ridiculous. Despite abound proof of bears kicking bull ass in Mexican and californian pit fights, these shitty brains don't try to apprehend even and most clear and simplest truth. How funny? That needs no proof.
So, in a succinct criticism, the video is, from A to Z, is a crock of Crap. Honestly, was very easy to debunck.
