brobear I'd guess ~200kg for the bear and ~250kg for the lion. Always complicated to evaluate as the biggest animals usually only get measured but not weighed. With a weight advantage of about 110 pounds, the lion takes this one. Yeah no doubt, the lion takes this. If the Asiatic black bear subspecies is the Himalayan black bear, that would be a better fight, but the lion will still win more often than not.

Nice comparison; surprising too. I'm not sure how they would compare if all the muscle tissue of each was weighed ( if that were possible ). But I'm a firm believer that bones have just about as much to do with strength as muscle. I would wager on the rhino being the stronger of the two due mostly to having heavier bones. Your thoughts-

brobearRhinos are built like barrels; they are extremely wide when looking at them from the front and then the difference in weight would be clearly visible. Wood bisons also carry a lot of fluffy hair that makes parts of their head/limbs/upper body even bigger than normal.

As with wolf pack vs grizzly; the wolves could kill the tiger, but with great loss of pack members. Wolves are not generally ready to sacrifice pack members for a meal. This would have to be a matter of no choice for the wolves. If the tiger is after wolf cubs, then yes, the fight is on ( IMO ).

Another thing that i hate tigers is that they give problems to wolves (one of my top 5 favourite animal). Like tiger, grizzly bear can also kill wolves but bear donot seek out to kill wolves, they seek out wolves for their kills.

Come on man, that's just childish.

This would likely be similar to a clan of Hyenas tormenting a male Lion. The Lion can't fight all of them at once and the clan would surround him and keep coming from behind when his back is turned. I suspect this would be the plan if a Pack of Wolves were to tackle a Tiger.
