I have to say, the above comparison may be one of my favourites as it took me ages to find a high quality moon bear model.

brobear Yeah but note that these are maximum dimensions; the tallest Siberian tigers reach around 107cm in terms of shoulder height. In the bear/tigress comparison I had to base it on max. heights as they are no average figures for the Asiatic black bear around.

Note: The wolf would probably represent an average individual from a rather large population (Russia).

Average fully grown male Alaska Peninsula brown bear (9 years+) - 857.6 pounds
Average mature East African lion - 383.6 pounds. (n=71)
A 474 lb difference, the bear is 124% larger, who wins? I dont know, lol.

King KodiakIn this comparison they are scaled to maximum dimensions; the weight difference will be even greater than that.

So a bull elephant tusker is slightly bigger than an African elephant cow. Looking at these pictures, we can imagine how big an African elephant bull will be, much larger.

Roughly; how would their weights compare?

brobear I'd guess ~200kg for the bear and ~250kg or a bit more for the lion. Always complicated to evaluate as the biggest animals usually only get measured but not weighed.
