en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Corbett_National_Park Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. It is located in Nainital district and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand and was named after hunter and naturalist Jim Corbett. The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative. The elevation ranges from 1,300 to 4,000 ft. *For winter, they descend as low as 5,000 feet. OK, so in the Winter it is possible for a Bengal tiger to see a Himalayan black bear. But then, I never doubted that a Bengal might see one. There are Bengal tigers in some locations of the H. Mountains.

The giant Himalayan black bear, whose upper limit is underestimated (their data are too little), I believe it is bigger than the 237kg black bear in Japan. Attachments:

Please watch this video. It's an incredible Himalayan black bear. It's still hard for more than 10 people to lift it. The upper limit weight of wild tigers may not exceed that of Asian black bears. Attachments:

Asiatic black bear www.britannica.com/animal/black-bear Asiatic black bear, (Ursus thibetanus), also called Himalayan bear, Tibetan bear, or moon bear, member of the bear family (Ursidae) found from southern Iran to the Himalayas, Southeast Asia, and parts of eastern Asia, including Japan. *Note: The moon bear or Asiatic black bear is often referred to as the 'Himalayan bear' or 'Tibetan bear' regardless of the fact that there are subspecies with these same names. Not every Himalayan black bear we read about is Ursus thibetanus laniger. In fact, when we read of a clash between a 'Himalayan black bear' and an Amur tiger, that moon bear is more likely to be an Ussuri black bear, Ursus thibetanus ussuricus, the largest member. All moon bears, regardless of subspecies, is more aggressive than their American cousins; although American black bears can be larger bears. Also note that moon bears are more carnivorous and more aggressive than the Himalayan brown bear which is in the running for smallest brown bear subspecies, highly vegetarian, and probably the least aggressive brown bear. I have no data on the relationship between the moon bear and the Tibetan blue bear.
