THE BEAR WILL BE CHAINED WITH A 20 FOOT CHAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ARENA. THE BULL WILL BE PERFECTLY WILD, YOUNG, OF THE SPANISH BREED AND THE BEST THAT CAN BE FOUND IN THE COUNTRY. THE BULL WILL BE QUITE FREE IN THE ARENA AND NOT HAMPERED IN ANY WAY.

SPANISH FIGHTING BULL. MATURE MALES WEIGHT FROM 1000 to 1550 LBS, MADE A GREAT WEIGHT PARITY FACE OFF WITH A MATURE MALE CALIFORNIA GRIZZLY. ALSO, THIS BULL IS VERY AGRESSIVE WHEN IT HAS NO ESCAPE. THE HORNS ARE STRAIGHT TO CAUSE MORE DAMAGE.

Spanish fighting bulls go up to 700 kg brobear (1543 lbs). Weight parity is sure here with the largest bears. At shoulder height, the bull is much larger yes, but the thing is that the bear fights stading up on its hinds legs, so that is a great advantage, that is one of the reasons why it mostly won, because it stood up higher than the bull and was able to grab the horns and swipe the skull from there. If the bear only fought on 4 legs, it would have probably lost most fights, that is easy to see.
The horns are longer than in most other breeds and are present in both males and females. Mature bulls weigh from 453.5 to 700 kg (1,000 to 1,543 lb)

I could find nothing on the bull's head-and-body length. Also, I have to wonder about the height given ( from 5 ft 5 in to 6 ft 3 in ) seems high to me. That is the size of a yak or a gaur. Perhaps these ( cattle people ) are clueless as to how to measure an animal. Questionable. From Wiki: Some commentators trace the origins of the fighting bull to wild bulls from the Iberian Peninsula and their use for arena games in the Roman Empire. Although the actual origins are disputed, genetic studies have indicated that the breeding stock have an unusually old genetic pool.

Perfect find brobear. Average Spanish fighting bull 8 feet long nose to tail, and less than 6 feet at shoulder height. Does not hold any advantage over a large bear.

About the 2700 lb Belgium blue bull. Size matters, but so do weapons and fighting ability. IMO - a big boar grizzly could kill this monster more easily that a Spanish Fighting bull.

I dont know about this Brobear. In my list i have this bull winning 70% of the time. The main difference between the Belgium blue bull and the Spanish fighting bull is weight, The former often reached 2755 lbs, while the latter only reached about 1550 lbs. that is a huge difference. Also, the former develops what is called “double muscling” and have well defined backs and strong legs.

But this bear is not lacking in muscle-power either. He can dig like a form of heavy machinery in ground too hard for a man to dig into with a shovel. When I first read this statement ( and I have since from several different sources ) I understood completely. Up in the Carolina's ( where I'm from ) you had to first break the ground with a pick-ax before you could shovel out that ground that you break-off. It is impossible for a man to simply dig into it with a shovel. For a grizzly to dig ( like as described, "like heavy machinery", takes awesome power - strong muscles and strong bones. The bear could inflict terrible wounds to the bull. I believe that the bear could out-maneuver the bull, bleed him, and weaken the bull as he brought the behemoth to total physical exhaustion... IMO.

Well, i could be wrong, wont be the first time am wrong, wont be the last time either. You mentioned an 800 lb Montana grizzly, while i meant that this bull will defeat a 1500 lb bear most times. Problem is, for example, mature male bisons weight from 1800 to 2200 lbs, we know it was 50% of the time with much lighter grizzlies. But the Blue bull weights alot more than that at max weights, so that is definatly a factor for me. We have to remember that even a 1500 lb bear has a weight limit for adversaries that it won defeat most times. IMO, the blue bull is the limit (always considering max weights (2750 lbs vs 1500 lbs). Another difference, this time against the Blue bull is that is very docile, not like a spanish bull or bison. By the way, very impressive what a Montana grizzly can do to the ground, that is power.
add: you have it at 50% correct brobear?

Well, you might be wrong ( LOL ) and me too. We just have to consider all that we know and then use our imaginations while trying not to be biased in our judgement. About the grizzly's power, I will atempt to locate that on shaggygod.proboards.com/

Tell you what, you made some great points about the bear exhausting the bull and giving him terrible wounds, so i will tone down my percentage from 70% to 60% in favour of the Belgium blue bull ok. No way am going down to 50%. Sometimes you are very convincing, ha ha ha.

I agree with brobear, big cat fans should not get pissed off by this thread, they should just accept the truth.
