I am restarting this topic. There are events known to be true or commonly believed to be true by posters involving incredible animal feats but never actually caught on camera or on video. This post is merely to list - not to debate the events. I will begin with just one: 1- Grizzly vs Bull Bison. We have read the tales told by the old pioneers and Indians as reported to the newspapers. Historians know that the prairie grizzly once followed the "buffalo" herds. But, what really happened when a big grizzly ( we do know that those bears of the Great Plains were larger than the Rocky Mountain grizzlies ) came face-to-face with a big burly bull bison? Thus far, we have no such face-off or act of predation caught on camera.

Good topic brobear. Obviously, the lion is the one that was caught on video the most making the best predation accomplishments. Good sized elephants, rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes.
Tiger-no video exists of it killing en elephant, a rhino, a gaur, or an Ussuri brown bear.
Bear-no video exist of it killing a Siberian tiger, or a bison of any age. And of course, no displacement video either.

On camera it account where machli killed 14 ft crocodile But you forgot to tell brobear a little detail bro......it was on land, huge difference. Crocs that go so far in land are most likely sick.

The only reason the lion has videos of his predation feats are becoz of these reasons 1. Lions generally stay in the open 2. They r social so it easy to see multiple of them 3. After the leopard, lion has the highest population in the panthera genus 4. The lion is 100x less elusive than most cats

There is an account of a black bear killing a big bull alligator. I did nor read about this but heard about it on a wildlife documentary about the Florida Everglades. She was a Park Ranger in the Everglades National Park - www.britannica.com/place/Everglades-National-Park She told a story ( wish she had a camera ) about watching as a big boar black bear walked into a rather large body of water and began swimming across. To her surprise, a big bull gator came straight-up from beneath the bear and grabbed him and pulled him under. She thought for certain that she could count the bear out as a dead bear. But, after a minute or so, the bear bobbed up like a cork and continued swimming towards the opposite bank, where he walked out, shook like a dog, and then ambled into the woods seeming uninjured. She waited several more minutes searching for the gator. Her patience paid off. The gator crawled onto the opposite bank, near where the bear had emerged, and lain there in the sun. The big gator was clawed-up terribly from the bear's claws. *Sadly - I have no pictures, videos, nor even anything in writing to back up this story.

Never caught on camera: American black bears prey on razorback hogs ( feral hogs of Southern N. America ).

Reply #10 ... possibly Jim Corbett. In any event, this bear ( if a true tale ) lived somewhere that tigers and crocodilians live - probably India. Alligator = mugger crocodile.

Although we know it happens regularly by the most known authorities in the RFE, we still dont have a video of an Ussuri brown bear displacing an Amur tiger.

Although we know it happens regularly by the most known authorities in the RFE, we still dont have a video of an Ussuri brown bear displacing an Amur tiger. The only possible way that I could imagine acquiring this would be to arrange a meeting: Step #1- Find the right location within a tiger's territory near the domain of a black grizzly. Step #2- Set up camera's up in surrounding trees to observe from various angles ( set to motion ). Step #3- Place the fresh carcass of a cow centered in chosen location. Step #4- Wait for it... "No carcass in the forest goes unvisited."
