The polar bear is what turned me to a bear enthusiast. Without the polar bear, I would still support the bear over the big cat but would hardly be a qualified bear enthusiast and the time used for researching the polar bear would be used to do more research on birds.

Who will be first to take the plunge and dare to post on the "Domain" ...? And from what site might I find a few bear enthusiasts - the rare breed? Bear enthusiast might be a rare breed but as a polar beae enthusiast, I am outnumbered by brown bear enthusiasts.

Bear enthusiast might be a rare breed but as a polar beae enthusiast, I am outnumbered by brown bear enthusiasts. Seems odd perhaps, with the polar bear being the biggest and strongest carnivore who walks on Earth. However, when you consider the polar bear is white-on-white - sure you can say yellow or cream on white, but that is little different. Everywhere you look, you see ice. And his prey... waddles around with flippers. Not as exciting as pounding hoofs with horns. But, the brown bear receives a similar fate. Most documentaries are about the big salmon eaters. How exciting is it to watch a brown bear eat a fish, compared to watching lions pulling down an African buffalo?

/\ Big cats being full time carnivores can be fil hunting much more. Same with eagles as well. Even wolves will be film hunting more than bears.

Polar bear killing beluga and Narwhal in open water is just as exciting (and in my opinion more impressive than) watching big cat brining down bovines, natural interactions of course.

Polar bear killing beluga and Narwhal in open water is just as exciting (and in my opinion more impressive than) watching big cat brining down bovines, natural interactions of course. Impressive, but still doesn't make an exciting documentary. In a 2-hour nature documentary about polar bears, you might have a 2-minute visual of a polar bear attacking a small species of arctic whale. Much of that is hidden underwater. Mostly, you watch a near-white bear walking around on white ice. Both the brown bear and the polar bear are more impressive both physically and mentally than a lion or a tiger. But, the big cats provide a more exciting documentary. Thus the internet is filled with big cat fanboys.

What if your favourite animal never existed on earth?
If the polar bear never existed, many of my fictional stories (e.g. Male blue ice bear being the strongest land animal in the universe and the multiverse obliterator will not exist). I probably would have devoted more time to looking up info on birds (which I plan to soon) and will not have got as involved in bear vs big cat discussion/debates.
Would have still supported bears over big cats and big cats over canines.
Without the polar bear, my fave land animal will be the Glacier bear followed by the Kemorde and American black bear, however, I doubt the average of these bears will be able to beat a tiger or lion while I support male polar bear over all big cats, average. It would really make a big difference in posting style and I personally doubt we would be discussing much on bear vs cat but we will still be discussing Cobra Kai and probably having more bird discussions.

Bear Predation and Face-Off Topics - Where did the topic "Tigers and Brown Bears in the 21st century" go? And why are advertisements in the middle of the page? ______________________________________ Also note that I pinned the five most talked about tiger/bear stories told by the tiger fanboys.

Considering the activity here on the Domain, I'm feeling like 'The Lone Stranger' Don't worry. I am here. Basically, our activity's decline is quite natural. We have discussed all about bears: bear-human interactions, basics, ecology, face-offs, news, extinct ancestors etc. What else are we expected to post when every thing is present unless something new appears? Luckily, we have quality over quantity and all the information is collected in separate distinct threads rather than scattered here and there, noteworthy is that we have preserved various important information from old forums which were almost or likely to be forgotten. To increase activity we haven't stimulated repetitive and tedious debate which is the the fundamental lifeline of almost every forum, since that creates numerous useless posts and irritation for readers. Created in 2017 a.d., Domain of the Bears in the time I am writing this has completed its ultimate mission: propagation of the true knowledge of Bears. Furthermore, we have too much guest visiting us daily which is very startling. One can see who much guest come in 24 hours, daily which is indeed a great thing. In short, everything aside, currently, we are successful and stasified.

Just an example now:
Users Online 1 Staff, 0 Members, 30 Guests. Montezuma
Users Online in the Last 24 Hours 3 Staff, 3 Members, 1,484 Guests. yz, brobear, Granolah, OldGreenGrolar, silver
1,484 guests to a bear forum is indeed a big number. I really thanks to every guest who come this thread for the sake of true bear knowledge.
