This is definitely one of the best ways to show a bears grappling intelligence, strength, and stamina.

Interesting perspective from Joe especially with regards to Timothy Treadwell.

Yea Joe Rogan is like the Oprah for men.
To be fair Tim wasn’t the smartest I mean going into bear country without any gun or bears spray is a terrible idea. I mean he went there late fall that’s the most dangerous time of year to be near bears.

I think Timothy knew full well what he was getting into. My big problem with Timothy was that he wanted to treat huge wild Brown bears like the family dog and get too close and baby talk to them like you would a poodle. Bears need their space. Each Bear may be different on what the space entails but mark my words each requires their own space. The part about Tim being there too late (October) in the season is quite accurate. The Bear that killed Tim was an old male that was quite thin and obviously not ready for hibernation. The salmon had all been run and what little was left was being taken by Younger, larger, stronger males and this old guy was in serious jeopardy. This Bear had clearly had enough of Timothy and push come to shove needed to eat.

Any thoughts on this video like how big/old these bears are or something like that. Well the biologist talking said the polar bears were around 1200 lbs, and the barren ground grizzly was 4 foot tall (shoulder height) and around 300 lbs.

I know about that I was wondering if you guys agree because a lot of people seem to think these are small sub adult polar bears and a large adult grizzly.

Well, its always hard to see if bears are sub adults or adults just by looking at pictures or videos, much less this video that it was filmed at night and for a few seconds. But yeah i agree with what the guy said, to me the polars were adult, the grizzly was also an adult and did not look much larger than 300 lbs.

I kinda think the bears bigger than 300 lbs it’s seems to have some chub on its belly that a larger 700 lbs bear would have but it might just be the fur making it look that big

To me, it does look a little larger than 300 lbs, but no more than 400 lbs. anyways, barren ground grizzlies can weight up to 215 kg (474 lbs). So that would be the max weight. Its smaller than the rest of the grizzly bear population.

II. Barren-Ground Grizzlies
The barren-ground grizzly is found on the mainland of Nunavut and is more common in the Kitikmeot Region than in the Kivalliq Region.
The barren-ground grizzly bear (atsaq) is smaller than its cousins elsewhere in North America; males weigh up to 215 kilograms, while females weigh up to 108 kilograms. Their hair, ranging from black to blond, is often flecked, or "grizzled," with white or grey. These bears exist on the margins of their range. Normally, grizzlies kill or scavenge animals, especially ungulates such as caribou, ground squirrels and insects, as well as garbage.

I’m pretty sure a bear in north west territory was weighed in around 800 lbs and when tried to be tranqed actually charged the lady farting it and it almost got to her before it got ko’d

At about 1:26 in the Video you see two Grizzlies walking single file and the front Bear is noticeably larger that the trailing Bear. Probably a boar and close to that 700 lb category. At least it looks so watching the vid. I've seen this video before and it doesn't seem to matter how large the Polar Bears are they still give way to the Grizzlies. I think purely because of the Barron Ground Grizzlies aggressive nature but as the video states, sometime just the scent of a Grizzly is enough to make the big white Bears turn tail.

I like happy endings. I was so glad also. That was a close one. It's a pretty sad that roughly 50% of Brown Bear cubs don't survive to see their 1st Birthday. Those Coastal Brown bears that are raised near the ocean is just one obstacle those young cubs have to deal with to make it to their 1st birthday. Mamma Bear leads them to places she shouldn't and things happen.
