By the looks of him he's already been in some pretty nasty fights. Not quite the likes of Vans scars but give him time... . Van has likely lost some muscle mass thus weight since his prime. In his prime he may have been pushing that 1500 lb weight class.

I just noticed the pictures above were dated 2005 and 2006 so whoever that bear is he's now 15 years older.
