9) In the viral video shot at Tadoba Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, a tiger stands in front of a bear and blocks its way. The twist comes when the highly irritated bear chases the wild cat and runs behind him.
10) Again, a tiger ends up as chased by a sloth bear.
Sadly, 2 videos of Sloth bears chasing tigers had been deleted from youtube for some unknown reason. They count too.

Sloth bear/tiger interaction demonstrating a sloth bear's aggressive stance toward a tiger; the bear's ears are not pulled back in a defensive posture.
One photograph (Figure 1) clearly shows the heads of each animal during the most intense moments of the confrontation. The contrast is remarkable; while the tiger clearly has its ears pulled back, the sloth bear does not; in fact, the bear’s head appears larger than usual.

"Experts give surety that these bears defeat tigers."
Over here, are two opinions from experts saying that sloth bears/black bears can defeat a tiger in a fight; whereas, in most fights, the sloth bears is "mostly the winner"!

Thread is successfully complete. And the topic is fully proved with irrefutable evidence. Here are our final conclusions: Sun bear and tiger interaction final conclusion:
1#. Tigers, even the Bengal tiger, would avoid sun bears. (Gary Brown)
2#. Sun bears would fiercely fight off against tiger. (Taronga Conservation Society)
3#. Sun bears have a very loose skin as a defense against tiger ambushes. (Sunbears.wildlife.org)
4#. Sun bears would sometimes scavenge on tiger kills. (Champion)
5#. It may be argued that sun bear is not a typical prey for tigers and the evidence in this study merely suggests opportunistic predation. (Burnham, David W. Macdonald)
6#. Sun bears tree up most in those regions where tigers are present. (Lim) However, mostly young bears climb trees to avoid predators as Sun bear aboreal habit is due to food rather than predatory reasons. (The Encyclopedia of Applied Animal Behaviour by D. S. Mills, Jeremy N. Marchant-Forde)
7#. Unlike leopards, which become more diurnal in tiger areas ¹ to avoid tigers which are nocturnally active ², the malayan sun bears shows a lot of nocturnal activity ³ meaning they don't fear malayan tiger presence and freely search for food. (Mondal and Steinmetz ¹, Savemalayantiger. org ², National geographic and MalayanSunBearPDF ³)
Asiatic black bear and tiger interactions final conclusion:
1#. Black bears are rarely preyed by few male tigers to an certain extent (Tkachenko, Sergey Kolchin,Svetlana Soutyrina)
2#. Adult males very rarely, but young female and sub-adult black bears most commonly fall prey on tigers. (David meanwell, Baikov, V.S. Kramtvos)
3#. Adult males, or perhaps adult female, black bears would fight with a tiger on defend itself and aren't easily killed (Yudin, Yudina, Baikov, Sonam Wanglay)
4#. Tiger predation don't effect black bear numbers and population. (Kuchrenko, Tkachenko, Khekhtsir observations)
5#. Black bears (not adult males) would mostly tree up to escape tiger attacks. (Bromley, Khramtsov, Zhivotchenko)
6# Black bears are formidable foes for tigers and both usually avoid each other. (Sonam Wanglay)
7#. Sub-adult black bears fear tiger tracks, however adults, males or perhaps females, show no fear to tiger tracks even fresh and move easily along with them. (Khekhtsir obervations, Tkachenko)
8#. In a fight to death match, a large black bear can defeat a large tiger. (Jim cobbert, Mountfort)
Sloth bears and tiger interaction final conclusions:
1#. Tigers, generally, do not hunt sloth bears. (Richard lydekker, Panna and Chitral NP tiger's diet chart, Tej Kumar)
2#. Tigers mostly avoid face-to-face confrontations with Sloth bears. (Altre edizioni, Francis leukel)
3#. Sloth bears do not fear tigers abd tigers do not change their behaviour. Both do not have predator-prey relations. Tigers do not dominate and these bears roam without any tension. (Thapar, Garshiells, Yoganand)
4#. Tigers always kill by ambush and in face on fights, tigers normally flee rather than fighing the aggressive bears as bears can injury them seriously. (Adele conover, Joshi, accounts)
5#. There are many cases of Sloth bears defeating tigers in face-to-face, head-on fight, including sometimes multiple tigers and adult males like Genghis, Khali and Matkasur. (Accounts from experts and many videos from Youtube)
6#. There is one unconfirmed case of mature male tiger killed by Sloth bear. (Bareilly)
7#. Sloth bears very rarely have been known to drive away tigers from their kills. (Valmik Thapar)
8#. In fights, between sloth bears and tigers, the match is often draw. (Yoganand)
9#. In most sloth bear vs tiger fights, the large-hearted fighter bear has the upper hand. (Singinawa Jungle Lodge Reservation)
