There is one article on a wolverine supossedly 'killing' a polar bear but I do not beleive it at all. The articles states that the polar bear gave the wolverine a bear hug and the wolverine burrowed into its chest and heart which is false as bears don't fight using that so called 'bear hug' but by biting its opponents spine and wrestles opponents down with its forearms. Do you have that article? I think it was in captivity correct? Polar bears do like crap in captivity. Also, i believe the wolverine just clamped down on the bears neck and did not let go and it was over correct? Thing is there is an account of a bulldog doing the same thing to a tiger, a neck bite is always possible. And yes, we also have some accounts of bears using bear-hugs to kill, i know i have at least one of a bear that killed a lion that way, he squeezed the life out of the lion.
I forgot the exact sentence of the account so forgive my error on my earlier post but it looks like the account ended up on youtube . Once again I must say, I don't beleive that account.

Ok thanks Oldfossil. There are couple of things to analyze here. First of all, i believe the account but not the youtube video. Second of all, we dont know what kind of polar bear it was, or the age. Third of all, anyhow it is still a good kill for the Wolverine, like i said before, accidents can happen, the wolverine grabbed the bear’s throat and did not let go. Same thing happened with the bulldog that killed a tiger.
as for the Youtube video, that one is 100% bullshit yeah, probably made by a fanboy. That does not regularly happen, lmao, it just happened once. No records. The fanboy who made that video used that SINGLE account to say all the other bullcrap.

W.S. Home brings up nothing. The article could have come from anyone's typewriter. www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=wildlifenews.view_article&articles_id=692 He said a wolverine can defend itself pretty well, but it’s no match for larger predators. “Two wolves can kill one,” he said. “You hear stories about them chasing bears off, I’ve never seen that happen, or known anyone who has.”

You are welcome, King kodiak. I am not sure of the condition of the polar bear 'killed' by the wolverine but since a black bear and even a sun bear can kill a wolverine and a female polar bear named Velox can kill two lions (on seperate occassions?), we all have no doubt even the smallest polar bear can kill a wolverine. Just for a laugh: The only wolverine that can kill a polar bear would be, a mutant from X-men Even so the polar bear still gave the mutant a hard time and the 'wolverine' only won due to its healing factor .

Wow ok. Yeah all the other stuff is just pure bullcrap, if it did happen, it was only a one time very rare event.

The wolverine killing polar bear is a big cat fan-boy creation. Just one of many online bogus crap-lies they have spread throughout cyberspace.

I second that. I find it hard to envision a sloth bear killing the larger creamy bear of the north. Polar bears in captivity are generally smaller than in the wild (unless brought straight out of the wild).
Thanks for your confirmation.

Listen guys: i understand your points but, in favour of that account is the fact that there are basically zero accounts of brown bears losing in captivity, you get my point? If someone would have faked accounts, they would have also faked accounts of brown bears losing, but there are basically none, especially against tigers. Not even fake accounts. That wolverine account might just had been a one rare event thing, could had happen.

I have always said, if a tiger fanboy is “faking” accounts, then how come there are basically ZERO accounts of tigers killing or defeating any type of bears in captivity? You would think they would have faked plenty by now, especially with the thousands and thousands of tiger fans, but they havent. You guys get my point?

Most of them were "killed" by posters like Peter, Tigerluver, and Ursus arctos middendirffi... and other knowledgeable posters. Example, for a long time, the tiger fan-boys had the story going that Dale fought and killed a big male grizzly weighing well over 1,000 pounds. That big half-ton boar grizzly soon became a 440 pound she-bear. Also, several online sites telling of how Parnell defeated Ramadam in Mexico... some changing the bear's name to Monarch or Samson. Most of this trash has been removed as... such lies are harmful to truthful big cat enthusiasts.

For example, with the thousands of tiger fans that debate, there should be like 30 or 40 accounts of tigers defeating bears in captivity (face to face fights), but there is basically zero.

For example: you said that at the beggining they posted Dale killing a 1000 lb brown bear correct? Well, that of course would be a great kill for the tiger, but we would still say it was by AMBUSH, so that was not a fight. You get my point? For them to fake accounts of tigers killing bears face to face, they would need to fake captive fights, or fake accounts in the wild with all the details of a face to face fight. Either a failed ambush try by a tiger, or a displace attempt by a bear that the tiger fought and killed the bear. But they are too stupid to fake things like that.

How about the supposed arranged lion vs grizzly fight said to have taken place in Yellowstone? The African lion killed the biggest Yellowstone bear they could capture. Bogus. Never happened; just a fan-boy's wet dream.

Never happened; just a fan-boy's wet dream. That one is bullcrap, ha ha ha. True. So there are about 4 or 5 lion/tiger accounts that are bogus. One thing though, did you notice that none of the bears killing or defeating tigers/lions accounts are in doubt? There has never been a problem with those, never a counter account saying the opposite, like the Parnell account for example.

The Parnell/Ramadam fight happened. Too many newspapers covered that story as far back as when it was first being planned. The fight was scheduled to take place in Sacramento, California, but as animal rights ( a new idea was in its birth ) the fight was moved to Mexico. An original newspaper page is posted on the wall in California's state capital building - in Sacramento. No doubt, the grizzly killed the African lion within a matter of seconds.
