Video #1- The mother cheetah shows great courage and uses her speed and agility to draw the hyenas away from her kittens. Very impressive display of courage. Video #2- "Tag! You're it." Once again, the cheetah uses his ( her ) speed and agility and shows courage. But again no damage done to a hyena. Video #3- Very impressive. The ostrich was caught on the run. This is not a face-off. The cheetahs used their combined weight to pull the ostrich down. The ostrich is bipedal, so goes down much easier than something standing firmly on four feet. The jaws of a cheetah, once wrapped around the slender neck of the bird, is a death sentence. This was a killing; not a fight. But again; I was impressed by these cheetahs. A panda bear is ( like all bears ) built thick all-over. Because of his broad build, his feet are not close together. He has a 'squared build' and therefore is very stable ( difficult to knock over ). His neck is thick and he will protect that neck with tooth-and-claw. Now, with this being said, I don't really know how a fight between a panda bear and a coalition of cheetahs would end. In all honesty, I believe that, after a brief encounter, the cheetahs would discover that this back-and-white bear is no easy kill, and so look for an easier meal. But, we don't know. We simply each have our own thoughts and opinions.

Bro bear I do not understand what do you mean by video three.The third link was a link to a thread in my forum which gives accounts of cheetahs killing ostriches and zebras (Read the thread fully).It also includes a single cheetah killing ostrich account.

Bro bear I do not understand what do you mean by video three.The third link was a link to a thread in my forum which gives accounts of cheetahs killing ostriches and zebras (Read the thread fully).It also includes a single cheetah killing ostrich account. Further down the page is a second video which shows some young cheetahs chasing zebra. The narrator clearly states that these young cheetahs have a lot to learn and zebras are too big a game for cheetahs. One article claims, "cheetahs are capable of killing zebras" ( but gives no specifics ). Its like reading, "tigers hunt and kill brown bears", which gives a false impression. So perhaps juvenile zebras. Another article tells of a dead zebra that might have been killed by a zebra. This same article states that people have claimed to have witnessed cheetahs killing adult zebra. A third article says that cheetahs killed four young zebras. I would say that this leaves us with the possibility that ( maybe ) cheetahs kill full-grown zebras. But we have nothing confirmed. Something you can search for; something from a biologist or a video.

A cheetah can weigh anywhere from 83 to 145 pounds with an average of roughly 100 pounds. A cheetah is sometimes stalked and killed by a leopard. The cheetah is to be greatly admired for his speed. But to be the world's fastest running animal, the cheetah had to sacrifice weight and strength. Of all the cat family ( of medium to large cats ) the cheetah would be my last choice for face-off topics.

Not really waterproof in my opinion; individual pictures always leave a lot of room for interpretation. I'd confidently back a zebra (mare and stallion) over a single cheetah.

The cheetah is a fantastic predator with a lot to be admired. But as a fighter or as a hunter of large game; not so much.

The cheetah is a great hunter but these prey are running away and are not fighting back.

Well there not just pictures, there are several videos of coalitions of cheetahs hunting wildebeest and zebras. Most are by kill by chase.

@king Kodiak
Yes, coalitions are able to take down larger prey but I was explicitly talking about a single cheetah.

If cheetahs hunted zebra; there would be multiple examples caught on video.

In a face-off, Canadian lynx vs cheetah, my money would be on the lynx. A cheetah is just not a fighter.
