That is enormous amount of strength. I think King Kodiak has posted a few more accounts of these somewhere.

Even American black bears (cinnamon bear in this case) are capable of destroying cars:

Just think, look at all the damage a bear can do above. How is that damage mostly done? I would assume by the claws. Look at reply #5 for example, i know for a fact the bear didn't bite that garage door. Imagine a tiger's little 2 inch sharp claws doing that? Impossible, those sharp claws would only just scratch that door or a car, ha ha ha.

During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, a chartered pilot and fishermen left their cooler and bait in their airplane and a bear picked up its scent. This is what the bear did to the plane.

Reply #14: damn, never seen that before, awesome. Looks like bears hate flying, ha ha ha. Lets see a feline do something even remotely close to that.

I would feel safe in a car with a hungry lion or tiger outside. I'd have the windows rolled up and the doors locked, But I'd feel safe. With an angry brown bear outside, no guns, weapons or bear spray, I would be terrified.
