Summary:
In the year 3000, earth which has been renamed planet Chess is now ruled by robots and AIs. It has a long time since the last man who was working as a ranger has retired and has been replaced by an AI. Since, then the running of the animal parks especially the 'Prehistoric Bird Park' - the largest bird park on earth has become more efficient. Many tours were organised year after year. However, unknown to mankind, there was a secret area where battle royales between animals and cryptics are frequently organised. How long will it be before this secret is eventually found out.
A/N: I wrote this story on another forum last year. Can't believe, I forgot about it.

Chapter 1: All about the Prehistoric Bird Park and its ecology.
The scene starts with a 400 pound female Titanis was roaming the grasslands. There she hunts any animal she can overpower. How she ended up alone was a mystery, she was probably ousted from her flock which did not want to increase their numbers anymore. The Titanis saw a huge bison carcass and ran towards it but stopped her tracks when she saw a Californian grizzly feeding on the carcass. The Californian grizzly which weighs 2200 pounds would easily crush her. The was a dead smilodon populator nearby and other tracks etc. While a Californian grizzly bear is capable of killing a bull bison, he prefers to take away kills from smilodon populators. In this case the Californian grizzly killed one male smilodon and displaced the rest of the small pride. The Titanis knowing she is no match for the bear wisely backed away. The Titanis continued her search for a kill and finally found a small horse like animal. The Titanis quickly took it down. As the Titanis was gorging down meat with her powerful beak, she was surrounded by a pack of dire wolves which wanted the kill. The Titanis lashed out and kicked at one of the dire wolves, killing it almost instantly, however being overwhelmed, she was forced to flee.
The 'Prehistoric Bird Park' was built when samples of extinct birds taken from fossils and clones were created. The cloning was proven successful and before long the bird park became filled with these birds and other extinct animals from the past. The Prehistoric Park was also filled with many different types of plants and insects many which no one knew about. This park also occupies a part of the red area and indigo area in planet Chess and every year a tour will be hosted by the AIs which have become the rangers of the park.

Chapter 2: The cryptics - animals and humanoids.
The reason why the original rangers in the 'Prehistoric Bird Park' was replaced with AIs is because of one thing. This is because the park was filled with dangerous cryptics such as Yowie warriors, orang pendek, nandi bears, northern giants, neatherdal men, ape men, bear beast, giant snallygasters, bray road beasts, big foots, Emela Nautkas, dinosaurs etc. Some of theses animal cryptics are capable of killing even aliens and dinosaurs. These cryptics and dinosaurs are dangerous to human rangers especially the Yowie warriors, orang pendek, nearthedal man, and ape/cave men. These humanoid cryptics especially are canibals and all but one human ranger escaped. From that they on they rangers were replaced with AIs made out of the hardest metal which are run by Skynet who controls all AIs and robots.

Chapter 3: A tour.
A rich newly wedded couple (Atkins and Akema) and a bunch of rowdy college graduates decided to book a tour to Prehistoric Park. They booked a Camper van and tour bus respectively. Due to the dangers from the presence of humanoid human cryptic cannibals, these that decide to go on a tour have to have well behaved children (if they are bringing any), and the vehicles are made out of the toughest metal and is automatically driven by themselves. The tour will last for two weeks and every night before everyone goes to sleep, an automatic tough shield (just like a shield around batman's automobile) will go around the tour bus to protect the people inside. Travelers can choose to go in a tour bus or camper vans which will provide automatic toilets and bathrooms. The vehicles will allow the doors to be unlock and the AI rangers will give the people a guided tour and bring them back to the tour bus or camper van before night. When they reach the middle of the park and when the AIs ensured everything was safe, the married couple and the youth were taken on a guided tour every time the vehicles unlock themselves. Atkins and Akema were irritated by the rowdy college graduates and said, " We were more mature than these kids when we were their age)".

Chapter 4: Sight seeing.
Sight seeing was extremely pleasant as the cool wind blew on the faces of the married couple as well as the youth. The married couple enjoyed a time of romance under the sun and near the beach (the 'Prehistoric Bird Park' is so huge that it consists of even a huge beach of its own). AI 1 warned the married couple and the youth not to wander too far as there are dangerous cryptics there. Suddenly, a flock of giant ostriches were running away fast. The youth, guided by the AI rangers went to take a look. A huge female tyranosaurus rex was facing off an Emela Nautka, a horned lizard the same size as an African bush elephant and known as the 'elephant killer'. The fight begins, the Emela N charges the t rex which manages to dodge her opponent which would have been able to match the force of an African elephant. The t rex was narrowly gored by that horn which could have inflicted serious damage. T t rex gave the Emela N a good bite in the neck before kicking him over and finishing off the horned lizard. A triceratops would have defeated the Emela N given its better protection and being a difficult opponent for the t rex. A few of the youth cheered when the tyranosaur killed the emela n. The t rex charged the youth and the AIs held back the t rex while the youth ran back to the tour bus. The married couple could only shake their heads.

Chapter 5: Safety first.
As it was getting late, the married couple headed back to the camper van to enjoy their honeymoon. The couple put their safety first as they had recently gotten married and did not want to die during their honeymoon period. As the couple got into the campervan, a shield automatically surrounded the campervan. The youth led by Bryan the boisterous ditched the AIs as it was Friday night and they wanted to have a party but the AIs drove them into the tour bus and turned it into a disco environment. An automatic shield also surrounded the tour bus. In the meantime twenty poachers which have snuck into the Prehistoric Bird Park also prepared to shoot anything (animal or cryptic which they come across).

Chapter 6: A battle royale.
The camper van and tour bus had an automatic tv each. That tv was not to watch movies but to watch a battle royale which goes on every night till the break of dawn. Nobody knows that there is an actual battle royale arena in the 'Prehistoric Bird Park'. The battle royale consist of:
Ten 1100 pound exceptionally huge female Brontornis.
Ten 660 pound female klekens.
Ten 500 pound male blond asiatic moon bears (nicknamed the lion bear).
Ten 500 pound male Bengal tigers.
Ten 1000 pound giant ostriches.
Ten 420 pound red bears.
Ten 420 pound sloth bears.
One 2200 pound green eyed polar bear (which has a human body)
Ten 500 pound African lions.
A hundred 30 pound chupacabras (hairless canines).
Ten 22000 pounds Berrunjars.
One 15400 pound Tyranosaurus rex.
From time to time, the local robot which look after the park as rangers in the place of humans will collect samples to entertain themselves in a battle royale. Ten giant ostriches were released into the battle royale arena section. The enclosures were opened after the animals were starved for two weeks. A male bengal tiger stalked and pounced on a giant ostrich killing it with a bite to its neck and strangulation, cleverly staying out of the way of these kicking legs. A passive red bear approached the carcass just as the tiger began eating. The tiger snarled and while the red bear did not retreat, it was unsure what to do. The stare off came to a head when a sloth bear rushed in and chased off the red bear. The sloth bear chased off the bengal tiger after a brief scuffle and feasted on the carcass of the giant ostrich. The sloth bear was killed by a blond lion bear. The blond lion bear was in turn surrounded by a pride of lions. The blond moon bear rushed at one of the lions scattering the pack temporarily. However, the lions regrouped and pounced on the lion bear, easily making a meal out of it. A green eyed man arrived and morphed into a 2200 pound green eyed polar bear and captured and killed the red bear which was displaced by the sloth bear earlier on. The green eyed polar bear proceeded to kill a sloth bear which was chasing a bengal tiger around. One sloth bear was ambushed and killed by a bengal tiger which was in turn killed by a lion (after a 20 minute fight). The tiger was doing well at first but the lion began to get the better of the striped cat as it tired out. A hundred chupacabras appeared and with their superior numbers killed some of the sloth bears and even a 'lion' bear. However, they were afraid to engage the giant 2200 pound green eyed polar bear and even left the lions alone. The polar bear displaced the lions which had taken down two giant ostriches and feasted on the carcasses. The chupacabras surrounded a Bengal tiger which had taken down a giant ostrich. The hairless canines knew the tiger was much larger and stronger than them but unlike the lion, it did not coorporate in groups. They used their numbers to wear out the tiger before finally attacking. The tiger was killed but the pack lost a number of members. The polar bear took the opportunity to kill some of the tired hairless canines and so did the lion pride. The polar bear displaced the lions again but was killed by two female brontornis which took the opportunity to get rid of a powerful opponent. The Berrunjars in the meantime killed the rest of the red bears which were engage in a starring off match with the tigers. The remaining Brontornis killed off the remaining sloth bears. The klekens destroyed the remaining Bengal tigers and the giant ostriches. The Brontornis then took down the Bengal tigers. The lions killed the remaining blond 'lion' bears but not without a fight. The klekens and brontornis took down the lions (five each). The brontornis proceeded to take down their more lightly built competitors, the klekens. The brontornis thought their fight was over but they did not realise the berrunjars were still around. These theropods killed the brontornis with a single bite to the neck and head while the predatory birds were sleeping. A huge female t rex came about and killed two berrujars but was taken down by the rest of them. Winner: Eight brontornis.

Chapter 7: Survivors of the battle royale.
By the end of the battle royale, the surviving Brontornis which killed the poachers were snatched into the air by the snallygasters flew back to their nest to lay their eggs. These snallygasters were genetically modified in such a way that the females did not need males to breed with. As a result, all snallygasters in Prehistoric Bird Park are female. Each snallygaster lays four eggs which hatch int chicks which grow and learn how to fly quickly. One snallygaster weighs 15400 pounds, the same weight as an African bush elephant. The snally gasters are rules by a huge 21 tonne female queen which commands all the other snallygasters. The queen is green in colour and surrounded by four red and purple snallygasters which follow the queen everywhere.

Chapter 8: The outbreak.
Before the night was over, the youth and the married couple found themselves surrounded by humanoid canibal cryptics and a snallygaster actually landed on the tour bus causing the youth to scream. The snallygaster attacked the tour bus. The married couple and the youth in their vehicles in the meantime were actually trapped in the battle royale arena as their final stop was actually in the middle of the arena. The automatic shields had done a good job of surrounding drowning out the noise from outside. Its only when one of the poachers climb up the bus in an attempt to escape the orang pendek did the youth finally get the idea where they were at. The youth and the married couple had to wait the whole night before the battle royale arena open and the orang pendek left them alone after finding no way to get pass the automatic shield. They did manage to trap and bring down the snallygaster.
The tour bus and campervan took the youth all the way home but they discovered a problem. The enterance to the 'Prehistoric Bird Park' was broken and chaos was happening in the cities. Without a home to go to the married couple and the youth had to make their home in the vehicles.

Chapter 1: Californian grizzly vs smilodon populator.
A male smilodon populator has just killed a male toxodon after leaping on its back and giving it multiple slashes with its canine teeth.
Unable to grapple prey the same way a tiger or lion does die to its extremely long canines, that was the technique it was force to adopt. The Californian grizzly approach the smilodon upon smelling blood. The smell of blood made the hungry bear arrive.

Chapter 2: Brontornis.
The brontornis also arrived and confronted both the Carlifornian grizzly bear and the smilodon populator. A three way stand off occurred. The 900 pound male smilodon growled in anger trying to warn the intruders off.
The grizzly was too big but there is a chance it could chase away the brontornis. The smilodon has to play his cards right and use one against the other if necessary.

Chapter 3: Grizzly bear wins.
The Carlifornian grizzly bear wasn’t fooled. Knowing he is the strongest out of the three, the bear took possession of the kill and ate the carcass.
His 2000 pound weight and massive body frame intimidated the other two. Now it is time for the smilodon and brontornis to square off.

Chapter 4: Brontornis vs Smilodon populator.
While the Carlifornian grizzly fed on the toxodon carcass, the brontornis and the smilodon confronted each other.
The brontornis’ powerful legs and beak kept the smilodon at bay but the predatory flightless bird also knows her opponent is not to be trifled with.
Both animals circled each other looking for an opening. The smilodon accidentally got too close to the Carlifornian grizzly and ended up being mauled to death by the 2000 pound brute.
The brontornis knowing she has no chance took off and ran away while the Californian grizzly bear snap the smilodon populator’s spinal cord with his jaws.

Chapter 7: The feasting.
The flock of brontornis fed on the dead body of the Californian grizzly bear and quickly forget about their dead leader. The heaviest of the female became the new leader of the flock.
A flock of Brontornis would seldom mess with a 2000 pound Californian grizzly bear as they do not want to risk losing members. The flock must be really hungry today.
