One more question: Do your polar bear etc have any special abilities (e.g. my blue ice bear can kill a bull mammoth with a single swipe on planet Diamond). Since your fictional planet is bigger than earth, it also has a stronger gravity pull I guess.

Any battle royales to occur? You can have at it on your "Battle Royal" topic. *In a face-off between a grizzly and a titan; it would be up to the individual bear. If both are healthy full-grown boars, then we look at the size of each. IMHO - the titan would be heavier on average by a couple hundred pounds, but the grizzly has a greater size range. So, it depends on the individual bears. More often, the titan would be the larger of the two, but sometimes the grizzly would be the bigger bear; especially near the coastal regions.

No worries. Give me the list and weights of your bears and I will make a battle royale o cryptozoology vs pantheology thread.

Would Jotunn’s fur become green during the summer due to algae?

Would Jotunn’s fur become green during the summer due to algae? The North Pole of Darwin ( Jötunheimr ) would be no different from that of Earth, other than more species of Pinnipeds, Cetacea, and perhaps similar extinct animals; and all more numerous. Therefore ( IMHO ) the Jotun would probably be slightly larger than our modern polar bears ( otherwise no different ). Edit and add: I do believe that, just as with today's bears, the Jotun would be the largest bear species of Mammothia. From reply #10: Titan - bipedal height - 9 feet ( 2.75 m ) with a shoulder height of 4 feet 11 inches ( 1.5 m )... average weight - 1200 pounds. ( normal weight range ) from 800 to 1500 pounds ). Grizzly - bipedal height - 8 feet ( 2.44 m ) with a shoulder height of 4 feet ( 1.22 m )... average weight - 800 pounds. ( normal weight range from 300 to 1500 pounds ) Jotunn - bipedal height 10 feet ( 3 m ) with a shoulder height of 5 feet ( 1.52 m )... average weight - 1400 pounds. ( normal weight range from 1,000 to 2,000 pounds )

Since your fictional planet is bigger than earth, it also has a stronger gravity pull I guess. From my opening post - Quote: Been contimplating this for some time ( just for fun ): Imagine a planet; much bigger than our Earth, but with similar conditions ( gravity atmosphere and so forth ). Two continents, each a huge land-mass. One continent ( Dragonia ) in the eastern hemisphere, with its southern end dipping into the antarctic region. In the western hemisphere, ( Mammothia ) with its northern end connecting to the arctic.

If planet Darwin is bigger than earth but has a similar gravity pull, it could mean that earth actually has the stronger gravity pull should it be larger ?

Americanus asks: If planet Darwin is bigger than earth but has a similar gravity pull, it could mean that earth actually has the stronger gravity pull should it be larger ? It's all syfy... no explanations. A great big planet... with those mysterious little gray aliens playing "God" with control over space and time. The planet "Darwin" being the maximum wildlife refuge for every plant and creature to ever exist on feeble little Earth.

Is it alright if I create a story about Jotunn? Could you list the animals in his habitat please? Arctic animals. seals and walrus. Just check out seals of both the arctic and the antarctic as well as prehistoric relatives. No penguins, on the planet Darwin, penguins live only at the S. Polar regions of Dragonia.

What colour is the sun, planet Darwin orbits around. If there is none, I will make a lime green star or a star which alternates between yellow and green.
