www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53819727?fbclid=IwAR0xiPDfqnWByIibQrSvBR8ioWpyeMQJ0TDOwgXQnmYX5lOmgLILL-Jac4s Oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge..........do these people not understand the concept of a wildlife refuge!!? "One side argues that drilling for oil could bring in significant amounts of money, while providing jobs for people in Alaska." I get it, they want to improve the economy. But why do they have to do this on a wildlife refuge? This is ALASKA we're talking here people, there are tons of other spots that aren't wildlife refuges where they can drill for oil!!
Now it literally seems like National Parks are the only places where wild animals are really safe from human activity.

/\ This is the same activity that sadly destroyed the Great Barrier Reef bear Queensland. Oil drilling in an area with beautiful wildlife, that is sickening indeed. I agree with you smedz

Our views of mankind and his impact on the natural world. The Australian bush fires is over but it had a negative impact on the koalas.

Trump is a great president, I like him.
The current Interior Secretary David Bernhardt and the previous one Ryan Zinke, however, are eco-terrorists and are the ones to blame for the bad things happening to our wildlife such as the situation in Alaska.

www.panthera.org/initiative/save-tiger-fund Save the Tiger Fund + Panthera In 2011, Panthera and Save the Tiger Fund joined forces to carry out the most effective conservation activities possible to save the future of wild tigers. This partnership combines decades of experience and success in identifying conservation priorities, utilizing best practices, and implementing proven strategies to address the many challenges facing wild tigers today. From 1995 to 2011, Save the Tiger Fund supported hundreds of wild tiger conservation projects across tiger range states in Asia. In 2006, Panthera launched the Tigers Forever Program to address the most critical threats to tigers and to improve the effectiveness of conservation actions. Together, Save the Tiger Fund and Panthera will continue to deploy strategically focused financial and technical resources in order to save tigers in the wild by investing greater resources in on-the-ground tiger conservation initiatives utilizing the Tigers Forever strategy, which aims to increase tiger numbers by at least 50% at key sites over a ten-year period.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Buck_(animal_collector) Frank Buck (animal collector) Frank Howard Buck (March 17, 1884 – March 25, 1950) was an American hunter, animal collector, and author, as well as a film actor, director, and producer. Beginning in the 1910s he made many expeditions into Asia for the purpose of hunting and collecting exotic animals, bringing over 100,000 live specimens back to the United States and elsewhere for zoos and circuses and earning a reputation as an adventurer. He co-authored seven books chronicling or based on his expeditions, beginning with 1930's Bring 'Em Back Alive, which became a bestseller. Between 1932 and 1943 he starred in seven adventure films based on his exploits, most of which featured staged "fights to the death" with various wild beasts. He was also briefly a director of the San Diego Zoo, displayed wild animals at the 1933–34 Century of Progress exhibition and 1939 New York World's Fair, toured with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and co-authored an autobiography, 1941's All in a Lifetime. The Frank Buck Zoo in Buck's hometown of Gainesville, Texas is named after him. Quote: "Between 1932 and 1943 he starred in seven adventure films based on his exploits, most of which featured staged "fights to the death" with various wild beasts." *Note: Frank Buck was active during those same years as Jim Corbett, Merian C. Cooper, Ernest B. Schoedsack, Martin Johnson, Osa Johnson and Clyde Beatty. Their films and performances were, to say the least, questionable. This is why I take any old news paper article ( 19th and early to mid-20th century ) concerning animal fights with a grain of salt.

Everyone who has seen Frank Buck’s “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” that amazing movie of jungle life, is asking the question: “How did they ever film that spectacular battle between a Bengal tiger and a 30-foot python? Was it faked? How did the cameramen happen to be on the scene—and how did they escape with their own lives?” Read the answer in this article.

A new study provides the earliest evidence to date of ancient humans significantly altering entire ecosystems with flames. The study combines archaeological evidence -- dense clusters of stone artifacts dating as far back as 92,000 years ago -- with paleoenvironmental data on the northern shores of Lake Malawi in eastern Africa to document that early humans were ecosystem engineers.

The people who protest the loudest about farmers and villagers shooting elephants, lions, tigers, etc who roam onto their property in other lands are the same ones who call animal control to get rid of an alligator, a rattlesnake, or a bear that roams onto their property. -Just saying.
