This is another work I am extremely happy with as it also took me ages to find a proper model for a wild, male Siberian tiger. So enjoy a comparison between the two largest subspecies of Penthera Tigris: Bengal Tiger (left) - Siberian Tiger (right)

Great comparison picture. Bengal is the largest, and built more stocky. The Amur has the greatest size potential; should prey animals in the RFE ever become more abundant. ( IMO ).

Horrible comparison above; don't know who created that BS. The latest estimation that I have seen has the Utahraptor at a length of 465cm and a weight of 280kg.

Nearly always ( it seems ) a prehistoric animal is discovered and his size/weight is estimated. Then from there, the size is reduced. For a year or two, Ursus maritimus tyrannus was bigger than Arctodus simus. |
