I can see that. That is one dangerous animal. A polar is capable of avoiding those horns in some fights, the polar can give some blows to the head between the horns. If the polar gets to the side of the Yak, it could be over. Nevertheless, that is why i said its 50%. How about you?

He would instantly perceive the danger of those horns.

An interesting comparison would be the two non-Ursinae bears, the giant panda and the Andean bear.

A mandrill and baboon size comparison would be nice.

King KodiakI remember you requested a comparison between a Bengal tiger and a very large gorilla; I took the average measurements for the Bengal tiger (shoulder height of ~100cm) and the biggest gorilla ever recorded to date (~195cm or 6.47ft tall) for this one. Next comparison will be between a cinereous vulture and a lappet-faced vulture as TheGreenArtos requested.

I have a request.
Alaskan Yukon bull Moose and Giant Eland.
Weight wise they may be quite similar as a Bull Giant eland can equal 2000 lbs for a large one and 5ft 10" at the shoulder.

Dhole and African wild dog would also be a good comparison.

Dhole and African wild dog would also be a good comparison. I agree; along with Alaskan grey wolf, coyote, and perhaps dingo.

Reply #224, giraffe vs kodiak, i have seen comments like the bear would attack the legs of the giraffe and bring it down. I see that as a very long shot. IMO the giraffe wins 9/10 times. (I basically never say 10/10, because i leave room for a miracle, unless its against an elephant or a rhino).

Giraffes do get killed by lions when they sleep lying down. I think the Kodiak bear can kill a sleeping giraffe which is lying down. Anyway, theundertaker45, I would also like to suggest a sperm whale and blue whale size comparison.

Bengal Tigress vs Spotted Hyenas (3)... if this is a case of these three hyenas all going in together as a unit full-force and determined; then we end up with a dead tigress - but probably with a price paid.
