Reply # 267: nice find there. Where you got it from? I would guess those are average size specimens, now imagine a much larger polar bear.

I found it on google search while looking for polar bear and Siberian tiger size comparison. Even an average male polar bear is stronger and heavier than the largest male Siberian tiger. What I would love to see ( accuracy - no cheating ): 1- sloth bear / Asian leopard comparison. 2- Montana black bear / cougar comparison. 3- Ussuri brown bear / Amur tiger comparison. *Then we can visually see how the three comparisons compare *grizzlyadams1977 .... could you create these three comparisons?

Biggest Mammalian Carnivores: These charts by Jake Sutton on Deviantart are useful ones, if some things are a little fishy.

Above comparison picture: Arctodus simus 2411 pounds ( maybe ). That would definitely be a max. Arctotherium is ( IMHO ) down-sized here. Ursus kavinetz ingressus average / Agriotherium showing range smallest to max.

Yeah, Angustidens is definitely downsized there. It has the largest bear single specimen ever at about 3500 lbs.
