It is true that humans are fallible. Consider the list of "largest stars" that has been compiled and revised over the years. VY Canis Majoris, at one time, was considered to be the largest star in the known universe. It was believed to be 2,100 times the diameter of the sun. Now, it has been downsized to 1,420 times the diameter of the sun. Why was it downsized? It didn't shrink. Humans were incorrect about their original assessment of the size of this star. Sometimes we eventually arrive at the truth, but there are some things we aren't sure about yet. Maybe in a few years, humans may state that VY Canis Majoris is even smaller...or larger perhaps. What color were the dinosaurs? Green? Grey? Brown? Polka-dot? We don't know. We can guess, though. The study of science has led us to many truths, but there are a lot of unknowns. I finally just deleted it because it was completely ignored. Anyway, there are numerous sites dedicated to saving the tiger. However, this post reminded me of an idea I had several days ago when I was nowhere near my laptop... "Bears Endangered". Thank you |
