We live and we learn. I will sometimes stumble upon something I wrote years ago and cringe. When I first became involved in these animal face-off sites, I only thought I knew something about bears. Unfortunately, school books ( I never went to college ) only give kids a tiny taste of information. As someone very wise once said, "War is the Mother of Invention." I was right in my arguments, the grizzly is indeed stronger than any big cat and would come out on top in most fights. But, I lacked the knowledge to debate with big cat-fanboys who had knowledge ( but were in denial of reality ). So I began to read books. Lots of books. At this point I have read from 50 to 60 ( I lost count ) about bears ( mostly the grizzly ) and a few books about tigers. From time-to-time a fan-boy will remark that I say one thing here and another thing there. Well, this is true. Here are some examples: 1- I use to agree that a bear has need of a substantial size advantage to defeat a big cat. I believed this because I had heard it said so often from the big cat enthusiasts. But now, I know that it is the big cat who needs the size advantage. 2- I use to agree that a mature male grizzly will only displace a sub-adult tiger or a tigress from her kill. I now know that we have no reason to believe that a mature male grizzly will not displace a tiger of any age, sex, size, or subspecies from his kill.

One and the same That's all cool and good but why does Wildfact show your 'brotherbear' account location to be in India? I thought you were living in some southern regions in the US?

I had no idea they did that. Sanjay and Peter know that I live in America. A typo. Ok, no worries brobear. Sometimes, the same IP address can point to different location. It's probably a system glitch i suppose. Wildfact also sometimes shows my location to be in Britain or something like that even though i'm currently living in Australia.
