Hey guys, I've noticed there were a bunch of posts (reply 524-532) that really should be posted in another section as these are basically Bear vs tiger topics. I'm guilty myself of a couple replies. I would suggest from here forward of either using or creating another thread in "Face-off's" for anything Bear vs big cat related or if need be I can unlock the Bear defeat tiger accounts thread. thanks for your cooperation.

May I know your favorite colour please? I am planning to create a story called Bears in Africa: Shall I make my main character a grizzly bear or an American black bear or both? Need your suggestion. |

Not sure I have a favorite color, but let's just say red for now. Go ahead and use both bears if you wish.

Since you picked red, I might use two American black bears:a cinnamon bear named Fire and a glacier bear named Ice, and a huge 1000 pound grizzly bear in Africa which have been taken from Yellowstone Park by a poacher but escaped during a plane crash as cubs. They grew up in the forest and savannah of Africa etc. More to come on the official story soon.

This will be interesting, a pair of Grizzlies growing up in Africa with all of it's inherent dangers. Will this be in S. Africa. Botswana, Zimbabwe. Maybe Tanzania or Kenya or elsewhere?

Actually it is a grizzly bear growing up in the savannah and two American black bears (named Fire and Ice) growing up in the forest. This will be in South Africa ( probably).

Well Tom your input gave me a new idea, my story will include one silvery blue grizzly bear, one Ussuri brown bear, one glacier bear, and one cinnamon bear in Africa. How does that sound? These bears will also have many offspring to follow.
