Am watching it right now, one of the first things they showed is a female grizzly with 2 cubs chasing a herd of elk.

Oh man, that was sad at the end, the grizzly bear caught the bison calf and eat it.

It's the circle of life. One species must be die so another lives.

If the grizzly did not kill some of the bisons, there will soon be too many plant eaters and many would die of old age and spread diseases around the world a lot faster and the grasslands would be destroyed a lot quicker. Predators have their place in nature in other words.

Predators have their place in nature in other words. I understand your point and agree wholeheartedly, however, Bison numbers in Yellowstone are far from being out of control.

I think he was just passing thru. He knew there was no free lunch there with all the adults around.

Tonight they will show the way the cubs survive with all the predators around. By the way, the Yellowstone geological feautures are incredible.

You saw it yesterday Tom? The cougar better prey a bear does not see or smell that carcass he is guarding, ha ha ha. Cougars can be snarly and mean looking and all but when push comes to shove they are all bark and no bite when it comes to a confronting a Grizzly who wants to take over his kill. I was also impressed with that Bald Eagle they had. What a magnificent bird or prey and such powerful looking beak and talons.

Yeah definitely Tom. Even a black bear will no doubt steal that carcass. There is nothing that cougar can do.

She's lucky to be alive. When will people heed wildlife officers warnings to keep a certain distance away from them. I will never understand.....
