Just wandering what are your bold statements on your favorite animals (excluding bears). Here are mine: - Bull sperm whales are the largest and most powerful toothed whales.
- The pygmy killer whale will attack any creature in the ocean regardless of their size since its attacks large whales like sperm and right whales.
- Ocean dolphins are more durable than river dolphins because they have thick skin and blubber to protect their vital organs which is something river dolphins lack (the blubber).
- Lappet faced vultures can display even dangerous eagles on land.
- The lappet faced vulture is more aggressive than the Eurasian black vulture.
- Ducks have stronger beaks than game birds.
- Huge female anacondas can give even a large male jaguar a good fight and would win in the water.
- Gorillas are extremely strong animals despite being underrated.

Cetaceans and walruses are among the hardest animals to kill pound to pound given their thick skin and blubber plus no neck making it hard to kill them. I am not saying they are invincible, just saying there is no way to kill them without making them suffer.

Walruses have tusks that can break nine inch of ice yet death is rare in fights between them because of the thick hide and blubber they possess. This being said, a walrus' tusk will not be very effective against an elephant seal, an adult beluga, and an adult narwhale.

A smilodon has teeth that are good for stabbing, however, I have doubts these teeth can kill a walrus easily. Reason: bull walruse fight each other with tusks that can break 9 inch of ice yet death is rare when they fight with each other due to thick skin and blubber to protect their vital organs.

Social predators will use their numbers to chase away or even kill a larger and stronger solitary predator only if they are sure they can win without losing a huge number of members which would make them vulnerable to another pack or pride.

Lappet faced vultures have the strongest beaks out of all extant birds followed by the Eurasian black vulture.

1. Jaguars are the bulkiest big cat 2. Wolverines are better than African honey badgers 3. Reintroduction of predators back to places like Scotland, Ireland, and other more wild parts of Northern Europe would be beneficial 4. Moose are one of the most dangerous animals to hunt for predators

Large male 2200 pound Nile crocodiles are too much for any big cat one on one and even post a threat for a large Kodiak and polar bear.

While lions are unable to kill something as large as a hippopotamus one on one, the reason why we have accounts of two or three lions killing a hippopotamus is because the environment is use as the catalyst. Hippos come out of the river to eat at night because they easily get dehydrated out of the water. If a hippopotamus wonders too far from the water, it becomes a target for lions (which will use the environment as their catalyst).

( imo ) a bull gorilla has greater upper-body strength than either a lion or a tiger.

Remember the hippo has wandered too far from the river and its dehydration is the catalyst. Hippo's don't die easily even if weakened due to dehydration. In this video above, it shows the durability of the hippos. During the night, hippo's are still in their peak (no dehydration and night is the time they come out and feed) and are a force to reckon with even by a whole pride of lions.

1- this is a hippo cow. 2- Possibly a bull; not sure. The lions learned that it is possible to slay this monster - ( inconclusive ). 3- simply lions feeding on a hippo carcass. 4- a hippo cow. 2nd video: lots of mixed shots of lion/hippo encounters. Still, those where it appeared that the lions were doing well appears to be hippo cows.

The gorilla is the probably the most underrated animal in the world.
Tigers are highly overrated.
Leopards are highly overrated.
I have no problems with lions.
