Yes, hunting and killing bears is tragic. No one kills a bear because he relishes the taste of bear meat. Its nothing more than killing for the pleasure of killing.

Absolutely right, who likes bear meat? I bet its nasty. Anyways, you guys already know my opinion on this, hunters and their families should be hunted down and get absolutely destroyed.

I hate the fact people make bears out to be monsters yet we have done more harm to them than vice versa.

I agree with all 3 of you guys. Killing bears is simply to inflate one own ego.. This is why I despise most hunters because they don't even eat the meat in a alot of cases. Screw trophy hunting.

Ha Ha Ha. That's right King Kodiak. What i will say its controversial, but i dont care. These hunters kill bear cubs, mamma bears, they dont give a crap, they destroy whole bear families. So what these guys deserve is to chain them down to a chair, grab their sons and daughters, and wifes, and put them in a cage with a GRIZZLY BEAR. And let him watch the bear wreck his family to pieces. Am dead serious.

Bear destroys car of hunter who shot and wounded him Video: Furious brown bear gets revenge on hunter who shot him in the leg by ripping his car apart while he slept The hunter shot the wild brown bear in the thigh in Siberia, Russia, forcing it to flee into the forest. But the next day when he returned to his Ford car, he realised his prey had had the last laugh. www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1125319/Bear-destroys-car-hunter-shot-wounded-him.html

I believe this is from the same story I once read. There were three hunters, but only one that fired his rifle and wounded the bear. Evidently, because of the bear's "super sense of smell", the bear caught the scent of the shooter, even though he was standing with two other men. After that, the bear recognized the scent of the shooter in the car. I have read of several known cases of animal revenge. It happens. Here is a true but funny story. One day ( I was perhaps 14 years old ) I was walking with my brother and two friends. We had been shooting. A big flock of birds ( starlings I think ) flew overhead. All three of them lifted their semi-automatic rifles and opened-up. Not a single bird was hit. The flock of birds flew a short distance further, turned around, and flew overhead again. This time they bombed us. ( bird Crap ). All three of them ( the shooters ) were hit. I wasn't touched.

Wow Thats a cool story brobear, the shooters got bombarded good, lmao. By the way, probably in the most famous captive account of them all, Rosie/Doris the bear got revenge and killed Prince the tiger for killing the animal caretaker.

There was this ages-old story about a circus worker. His job was feeding the animals and cleaning their cages, etc. This guy had a mean streak and enjoyed poking at the lion with broom handles and other objects. He would keep it up until the lion was enraged. Well, its been a long while sense I read this story ( there was even a movie about it - black and white oldie ). I can't remember the details ( so long ago ), but the lion had his revenge.

Yeah, that was awesome. In reality though, he deserved to be killed, him and his family. (Most probably they accept and cheer him).

I am against hunting for sport. I think it's pointless I say hunt only if you're going to eat the meat.

Early settlers did not hunt bears for the meat. Bear meat was never a favorite. They hunted bears for the grease. Bear fat is richer than hog lard ( which is what we cooked with when I was a kid ). The records of Lewis and Clark tells in pounds how much lard comes from a single large grizzly - a lot. Bear fat was considered better tasting and just all-around a better product than hog lard. Today, most people prefer vegetable oil.
