Credits to Nishant Lakhotia. Bear and T-19 cubs confrontation..
It was in the middle of the day (anrd noon) when it all unfolded. T-19 was gone for 2 days and cubs were staying around this waterhole. For the whole morning they were disturbed by passing vehicals and were scared to come to waterhole for a drink. Soon the day visit gypsies were gone and a handfull of full and half day were left. After giving them some space and peace they decided to come down for a drink but till then a bear was already there to soak himself in the cool water. But the thirst and may be hunger took over this young guy (12 months only) and he decided to confront the bear while other 2 stayed back..it all ended in less than a minute and soon all 3 cubs had the waterhole to themselves..
Hats off to the cub who had the courage to intimidate a fully grown bear..

Some cubs get big really quickly. The sloth bear in your picture is facing off a tiger. Does that picture relate to the story in anyway?

Hats off to the cub who had the courage to intimidate a fully grown bear.. ( seriously ? ) Hats off to one of the smallest bear species on earth who prefers to face a tiger rather than scurry up a tree.

SLOTH BEAR....aka the labiated bear or Stickney Bear....a bear native to the Indian subcontinent....average 2 feet tall at the shoulder and 4.6 feet long....have a long, shaggy coat that forms a mane around its face.

I am not sure if this picture is already posted here but this picture is impressive seeing the sloth bear actually bite.
That is from the famous sloth bear-Maktasur fight. But i have never seen that little detail no. Never seen that pic.

When i first started debating, i did not even think of the poor sloth bear, i really thought he was irrlevant. Now as time went by and i saw more and more accounts and reports, i have to say that the Sloth bear is probably the bear that deserves to be respected more than any.
THE FEARLESS ONE.
