Bear With Us Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre for Bears The Bear, Holly Tree and Snow. What more could you ask for to get in the holiday spirit... a beautiful black bear, the green color and red berries of some holly trees and top it off with some snow. This beautiful bear was eating on the holly berries as you can see one in her mouth on the tip of her tongue. If you can find some holly trees full of berries this time of year the chances are good that you might find a bear feeding on them before heading to their dens for a much needed, long winters nap. I was blessed to see and be able to capture some images of this soon to be 2 year old female.

Janet Brown Photography - Notice, this is not a very big bear, yet his ( or her ) girth is greater than that of a lion or tiger.
