HAPPY COUPLE, LAKE TAHOE

This beautiful couple of black bears represent two of the largest black bears I've ever seen. The female (brown) must have been almost 500 pounds, while her mate (black) was close to 400 pounds. I was fortunate enough to spend 3 1/2 hours with this couple and actually witnessed their mating. Over the years I believe I have seen several of her offspring, all with the cinnamon or blond coat and the white crest on their chest. They have left quite a legacy here in the Lake Tahoe basin! It is a privilege to witness the wildlife here in Lake Tahoe.

Is there a mistyping here? It seems the female is heavier than her mate........................................

It seems the female is heavier than her mate. That's weird. Could be mistyping or the guy just got the weights wrong.
