www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/04/210422150413.htm Mars has right ingredients for present-day microbial life beneath its surface, study finds. New research suggests that rocks in the Martian crust could produce the same kind of chemical energy that supports microbial life deep beneath Earth's surface. As NASA's Perseverance rover begins its search for ancient life on the surface of Mars, a new study suggests that the Martian subsurface might be a good place to look for possible present-day life on the Red Planet. IF humanity actually survives to see the "Star Trek" age of space exploration including other world colonization, setting your clock is going to become much more complicated.

www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/04/210426154813.htm Icy clouds could have kept early Mars warm enough for rivers and lakes. A new study led by a planetary scientist uses a computer model of Mars to put forth a promising explanation onto how Mars once contained rivers and lakes: Mars could have had a thin layer of icy, high-altitude clouds that caused a greenhouse effect. One of the great mysteries of modern space science is neatly summed up by the view from NASA's Perseverance, which just landed on Mars: Today it's a desert planet, and yet the rover is sitting right next to an ancient river delta. Understanding the full story of how Mars gained and lost its warmth and atmosphere can help inform the search for other habitable worlds, the scientists said. "Mars is important because it's the only planet we know of that had the ability to support life -- and then lost it," Kite said. "Earth's long-term climate stability is remarkable. We want to understand all the ways in which a planet's long-term climate stability can break down -- and all of the ways (not just Earth's way) that it can be maintained. This quest defines the new field of comparative planetary habitability."

NASA SELECTS DISCOVERY-CLASS MISSIONS. After a hiatus of several decades, NASA is about to return to Venus in a big way. NASA has announced that it has selected two missions as part of its Discovery Program: DAVINCI+ and VERITAS. Both spacecraft will head to Venus later this decade in an effort to map and characterize the second planet from the Sun. Though Venus is superficially Earth’s twin in terms of size, the planet clearly has a different history. Both missions intend to look at Venus in the present for clues to its past, to see if it may have hosted a more habitable environment early on.

There are three good rovers send on Mars which send back useful and goid information of the mar's surface.
1. Spirit, it lost in a storm. 2. Opportunity, its battery became low and scientists lost the connection. 3. Curiosity, it still working and sending back good info about the planet. It is now climbing on mount sharp.

There are some signs of life seen on Mars. A rover has taken a photo of a face on the mars which was human like. They have also saw a Martian lady sitting on a rock which surprised scientists. Many believe that thousands of years ago, Mars supported life but the Martians eventually started a war and everything vanished and i am still thinking that on some places some aliens must be present. I saw a video were 3 astronomers went in space in 1970's in a rocket and observed thing of two gold plates with one silver plate attached with a string. They made its video of few seconds but that thing disappeared before the blink of an eye. Further, a rover i think curiosity have seen a metallic thing walking on mars with scientists had never made, seen or send. I think that aliens must be present on mars. Mars further have underground water to support live. The rover have seen atleast 3 or 4 unusual martian human and martian things that are not rock or something. I really want to visit Mars and its one of my three wishes.

Quote: " I really want to visit Mars and its one of my three wishes." I like this enthusiasm. I have watched a great many attempts at flight caught on early movie film. In the late 1890's and early 1900's, a great many young men were trying to build the first flying machine. Finally, on December 17, 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright were successful. Some of those old films of the attempts are hilarious. I'm surprised that more young men are not anxious to be astronauts. *My grandfather was 10 years old when the Wright brothers flew for the first time. He was 76 when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.
