Great video. Among my favorites actually. But a common mistake concerning Baloo. Rudyard Kipling published The Jungle Book in1894 and The Second Jungle Book in 1895. Kipling put both the gray wolf and the brown bear in the jungles of India. Kipling specifically states that Baloo is a brown bear. Perhaps he was questioned about this. Was Baloo a brown bear (Ursus atctos) or a brown sloth bear? In his second jungle book, Kipling writes "Baloo, the big Brown Bear" - notice the capital "B"s. The only brown bear living in India is the Himalayan brown bear.

Movies were made mostly about the first book, the book that details how Mowgli grows up in the jungle and kills Shere Khan.

/\ Baloo is more like a Himalayan brown (red) bear in behaviour.
