Leopards (Panthera pardus) actually range in Central China - and yet, never even a single report of an adult giant panda ambushed by a leopard. Considering how rare these endangered giant pandas are, and being the "poster child" of the WWF, if a giant panda were ever ambushed and killed by a leopard, this would be big international news.

No record of adult pandas no. Just one single record of a subadult panda killed by a leopard (reply #17). It does not state the sex of the panda and it was most likely by ambush. One subadult panda killed, not much.

I have seen this quite a few times. Yes, and like I said in reply #22, quote, "Considering how rare these endangered giant pandas are, and being the "poster child" of the WWF, if a giant panda were ever ambushed and killed by a leopard, this would be big international news."
