What I'm looking for here is artist's interpretation of wild animal face-to-face encounters. Please; let's keep this about impressive face-off encounters. Not spiders, insects, birds, lizards, and such. Keep it real and keep it clean.
*Note: this is for artwork - Not for face-off debates. First up; Cave Lion vs Classic Cave Bear: prehistoric-fauna.com/Cave-lion-and-cave-bear

Could anyone draw a Siberian tiger facing off an Ussuri brown bear?

Reply 1: The Steppe bear looks like a scaled up version of the Eurasian brown bear according to the picture.

Reply 10. The cave lion looks stockier and has more massive forelimbs. Again extinct big cats are generally more powerful than the extant ones.
If the Pleistocene Amur tiger has shared territory with the cave lion, it might have also shared territory with the cave bear and Ussuri brown bear as well as the Eurasian brown bear.
No wonder brown bears have cave bear genes in their DNA.

Good find. Bottom picture: Cave lion ambushes sleeping female cave bear. Yup, exactly. Top picture-bear kills lion head on.
Bottom picture-it is known from publications that cave lions entered the caves to hunt hibernating cave bears, mostly females.

The relationship between the Ussuri brown bear and the Siberian tiger is no different to the cave bears relationship with the cave lion.

The relationship between the Ussuri brown bear and the Siberian tiger is no different to the cave bears relationship with the cave lion. Different hunting strategy, but similarities. Neither the Amur tiger nor the cave lion ( according to evidence ) has ever ambushed an adult male brown bear or cave bear. It it thought by some that the lions were actually looking for the cubs.
